Day 30

OMG! Guys - this is it! Day 30.

We made it! Me and my bow.

Day 28

Just got this Hope t-shirt/sweater/dress thing yesterday from totokaelo. As a Scandanavian myself, I can't help but be proud to see so many creative things coming out of Sweden lately.

Always excellent: pepparkakor gingersnap cookies, as made every Christmas by my Mor Mor.

Day 27

We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong, but we think you're crazy to make us write an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us: in the simplest terms and the most convenient definitions. OMG! I am obsessed with this shirt.

And yes, I own a leather skirt. Sorry, mom! But isn't it kind of amazing!? It's Erick Hart, from Veridis. Because how many times in your life do you get to buy a leather skirt? Not that many times, for me, anyway.

OK, so who is partying on down with me and Tuesday Smith herself next Friday!?

Oh boy! Just one week until "Tuesday on Friday"!!!

Day 25

Day 24

This past weekend we had the fun project of touring Area 51, making selects for party décor. It's going to look amazing! And if you haven't visited the store, you must. We've had so much luck there with furniture, from our couch to a truly glorious liquor cart to retro bowling lockers that we use for laundry storage. I have a hard time leaving that store empty-handed.

On Saturday we took home what appeared to be some sort of vintage police dispatch microphone thingy. I'm not sure what we're going to do with it, but it is beautiful!

Day 23

The try-on and purchase experience for this trench coat was - to say the least - thorough. The sales associate first effectively made me consider several styles to make sure that I was truly selecting the model that was best for me. She then required me to raise my arms to do the "driving test," making sure that the arm holes wouldn't fit too tight with hands on the steering wheel.

Next, I got a history lesson as to the origin of each coat flap, most seeming to be related to toting artillery. I was last trained in the many ways to "style" the jacket, which I do think worked to my benefit today.

Day 22

Lily demanded that she be included today. We are graceful ladies :).

Cat bow belts are definitely next for Tuesday Smith.

Day 21

Two items I am super-excited to see re-attain relevance after long resting periods:

(1) Flannel shirts. Especially this one by Chloë Sevigny For Opening Ceremony, with button-down shirt tails. Her unisex concept is so correct right now. I kind of wish I'd thought of it.

(2) Backpacks. Rock one!

Day 20

Day 19

It's looking very Chloé today, without actually being Chloé. I am OBSESSED with the leather shorts Hannah MacGibbon did for A/W!!! Anyway, shirt and pants by Rag & Bone and 3.1 Phillip Lim respectively.

Bracelets are Alexis Bittar. I recently picked them up at Veridis, inspired by a "Rachel Zoe Project" marathon. I can't help it, I totally love Rachel Zoe. And she has the Panthère de Cartier ring, which - to me - is one of the most beautiful material objects in the world.

Best cookbook ever: How to Cook Everything, by Mark Bittman. Thank you Julie!!!
